My mother and I stumbled across this leather shop, tucked in on a side street, on our way from the Pantheon to the Jewish Ghetto. The selection in the window enticed us to go inside. The lady behind the counter was very welcoming and friendly, and happily took items from the window for us to see. She was patient as we made our selections, and asked if anything we were buying was a gift. A couple of things were, so she gift wrapped them for us in foil bags with a Noble sticker and curled ribbon....very classy since these were not large purchases. In case you didn't know, service in Roman stores to tourists is often gruff, officious...like they are doing you a favour. But not at Nobile! I thanked the lady for her customer service and complimented her on the quality of the leather....elsewhere around Rome we had seen some similar small rectangular change purses....Nobile's were of a FAR higher quality, and for the same price as those cheap, touristy stores! I wish we had found Nobile sooner!
